Tips for easiest way to attach mailbox covers quickly.
Raise the mailbox flag to the up position.
Attach the mailbox cover to the flag side of the mailbox first. Slide the slot in the mailbox cover with the bottom edge of the mailbox, then let the magnet attach itself to the mailbox.
Once the flag side of the cover is in postion, just wrap the magnet cover over the top of the mailbox and attach the magnet to the other side. If necessary, adjust the positioning to remove any slack in the cover's fit.
Position the cover toward the rear of the mailbox to avoid damage when opening and closing the mailbox door.
